Welcome to The Treaty Facts
My analysis of the issues surrounding the Treaty of Waitangi and its subsequent history is taken from the facts that I have elicited from various sources. I acknowledge that I may have missed or overlooked some important facts which could have contributed to my overall assessment of the situation. I have also expressed my own personal views on the relationship of the Treaty with the laws of New Zealand
I am therefore open to, and invite, comments and contributions from those who can provide me with relevant information that can help refine my narrative. I also invite comments on my conclusions about legal issues, either to enhance my arguments, to modify them, or perhaps, to reject them.
The Great Treaty Reset has been triggered by the proposal of the new National coalition government to consider the defining principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. It consists of a series of 13 articles in the right-hand column which consider the Treaty issues and finally arrives at a suggested solution for resetting the Treaty in its rightful place in New Zealand's constitution.
